NATIONAL SURVEY OF INDIGENOUS-LANGUAGE PROGRAMS

As part of our study, we are conducting a national survey of Indigenous-language programs. The purpose of the survey is to develop a national database on Indigenous-language programs: their objectives, key features, stated outcomes, and the population served. The research team designed the survey to showcase Indigenous communities’ efforts to strengthen their language education through a variety of teaching methods. Our aim is to support new and existing programs in program planning and implementation.

Special note to programs within the Navajo Nation: Please use the Navajo Nation version of the survey, which includes the Navajo Nation Human Research Review Board’s approved consent form.

Special note to public school Kaiapuni programs in Hawaii: This survey has been approved by the Hawai’i Department of Education.
